2008 Chrysler Aspen Overview
Introduction
The Aspen is Chrysler's first full-size sport utility vehicle. Similar to the Dodge Durango, the Aspen borrows the platform as well as the historic name from Dodge.
The Aspens' suspension is the same independent, double-wishbone front and non-independent solid-axle rear design found on the Durango. The woodgrain/metal-look interior is available with either cloth, leather, or leather-suede seats. Available in one trim, Limited, the Aspen comes with the option of a 290 horsepower 4.7-liter V-8 or a 335 horsepower 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 engine and either rear- or all-wheel drive. Both engines are mated to a five-speed automatic transmission and the more powerful V-8 is capable of shutting down 4 cylinders to conserve fuel.
The Chrysler Aspen was new in 2007 and carries over into 2008.
