The redesigned Saturn VUE Green Line is a compact sport utility vehicle with a new European design that incorporates hybrid technology, can accommodate five passengers and has a generous cargo area.
The front-wheel drive VUE Green Line is powered by a 172 hp 2.4-liter Ecotec four-cylinder engine in conjunction with a regenerative nickel metal hydride battery pack mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. The new exterior design has a much sportier style with taut and curving body panels and a tapered rear roofline. Safety features include six airbags: front, side and side-curtain. Also standard is a one-year subscription to GM's OnStar safety and security system that includes automatic crash notification that calls for life-saving personnel and equipment in any crash in which airbags deploy and the driver doesn't respond to calls.
The Saturn VUE Green Line gets redesigned for 2008.
NHTSA rates crash-tested vehicles by assigning them one to five stars, with five stars indicating the most injury protection and one star indicating the least protection.
