2009 Subaru Impreza Overview

Introduction

Redesigned for 2008, the addition of a new GT trim is the most notable addition to the 2009 Impreza line-up.

The base Impreza model features a 170-hp 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with the option of either an 4-speed automatic or a 5-speed manual transmission. The new GT and sporty WRX models are equipped with a turbocharged version producing 224 horsepower. All Impreza's are all-wheel drive and can be had either as a hatchback or sedan. Safety features such as six airbags, four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes with brake assist, traction-control and stability-control are standard.
